royal_golf.jpg (Royal Golf Club)Excellent golf exists in the Newry and Mourne Area.  These are mostly undulating Parkland Courses offering golfers interesting challenges with tight sloping Fairways and Valleys and well maintained greens. 

In the Summer months golf events such as the Carlingford Classic in Warrenpoint and the Kilkeel Golf Championship offer events that cater for individuals, teams and corporate teams.

This 18 hole Course is located in idyllic scenery with spectacular panoramic views of the Mourne Mountains and surrounding countryside. The par 67 Course has been created to follow the contours of the land naturally giving a mixture of par 3s, 4s and 5s among lakes, trees and old farm houses from century's past. This Course is sure to satisfy both intermediate and low handicap golfers, what it lacks in distance it more than makes up for in character, being a pleasure to play.

Royal County Down is located in one of the world’s most naturally beautiful links settings in the Murlough Nature Reserve. Against the magnificent backdrop of the Mountains of Mourne, the links stretches along the shores of Dundrum Bay, zigzagging back and forth to provide a different vista from virtually every hole.  With fairways surrounded by purple heather and golden gorse, so beautiful to look at but so punishing for any who may stray from the prescribed path.

Warrenpoint Golf Club
