Formula Karting

 For an adrenaline rush buckle up in one of the Karts at Indoor Formula Karting, for an unforgettable kart racing experience, for all the family or a fun way to spend time with friends.

Try one of the Moolicious Milkshakes or Smoothies at Moo's, sample their Refresher, Cream Egg, Bubblegum or Drumstick flavours.  Taste their fabtastic Mooooofins - Warm Chocolate Muffins or their authentic Hand-made Candy Floss.  Play the Xbox upstairs or listen to the Music Channels.  Open until 11pm every night.

Castlewellan Forest Park 

 Located in a dramatic setting of mountains and sea, this is one of the most oustanding tree and shrub collections in Europe. The beauty, vigour and perfect shape of the trees in the National Aboretum attract tree enthusiasts from around the world.  The garden is a mixture of informal and formal design with terraces, fountains, ornamental gates and flower borders. To walk around the forest park's mile-long lake, encountering some intriguing modern sculptures on the way, is to enjoy a great experience of 18th -century landscaping.  The arboretum holds many trees with record heights in the British Isles.

The Forest Park's latest attraction, the Peace Maze, is the world's largest permanent hedge maze representing the path to a peaceful future for Northern Ireland.  
 

Cranfield Beach & Murlough Sand Dunes & Beach

 Grab your bucket and spade and head for this beautiful beach located at the entrance to Carlingford Lough at Cranfield.  Set by the foot of the majestic Mourne Mountains you can enjoy a day on the beach.  Parking, Children's play area, Toilets and Showers onsite.  Awarded Resort Seaside Award in 2011.

Or venue onto the extraordinarily beautiful Dunes at Murlough National Trust Nature Reserve.  This is Ireland's first nature reserve fringing on one of Northern Ireland's most popular beaches and overlooked by the rounded peaks of the Mourne Mountains, also a great place for seal watching. 

Tropicana Outdoor Pool, Newcastle

 Zoom the flume in Newcastle's famous Tropicana complex at the foot of the Mournes. Experience the outdoor heated pools where you're sure to have fun with the whole family.

Tayto Castle Tours, Tandragee 

 Take a tour around the Castle where the Tayto Crisps are made.  Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the full magic of Tayto, will get to see how the fantastic crisps and snacks are made and even meet 'Mr Tayto' the brand mascot. 

Opening Times are Monday to Thursday 10.30 am & 1.30 pm Friday 10.30 am only - Bookings are essential.  Closed public holidays e.g. Christmas, Easter, May Day Bank Holiday and 12th July etc.

Seaforde Butterfly Farm House

Enjoy a walk through the Seaforde Butterfly Farm House and take pleasure in experiencing the beauty of free-flying tropical butterflies.  Navigate to the centre of Ireland's oldest maze or climb the Moghul Tower and survey the walled garden from above or simply relax and enjoy the extraordinary collection of trees and plants within Seaforde's renowned gardens.  Butterfly Shop and Children's playground onsite.

Outdoor Karting, Gosford

Navan Centre, Armagh 

 Discover the Navan Centre, one of Ireland's most important ancient monuments Navan Fort, the ancient capital and seat of the Kings of Ulster.  From the 'Real World' of archaealogy travel to the 'Other World' to hear legends of the Ulster Cycle.  Visit the unique Iron Age/Early Christian period dwelling and learn about our past life.

Saint Patrick's Trian 

 Saint Patrick's Trian is an exciting visitor complex located in the heart of the histroric Cathedral City of Armagh. The centre derives its name from the ancient division of Armagh City into three distinct districts, or 'trians' (pronounced 'tree-an).

The Complex incorporates three major exhibitions. 'The Armagh Story' traces the story of Armagh's development from the stone monuments of pagan times, through to the coming of Saint Patrick and Celtic Christianity, to the modern day City . 'Patrick's Testament' takes a closer look at Ireland's patron saint through the writings found in the ninth century manuscript 'The Book of Armagh'; one of Ireland's most precious historical documents and currently housed in the Library of Trinity College Dublin.

The final exhibition reflects the author Jonathan Swift's associations with the area. The adventures of his famous novel, 'Gulliver's Travels' is narrated by a 20 foot giant in the 'Land of Lilliput'.

Armagh Planetarium 

 Gaze at the stars at Armagh Planetarium.  This centre is dedicated to astronomy at all levels.  Take a walk through the Astropark - a scale model of the Universe where visitors can walk through the Solar System and into the Milky Way and beyond, or view many of the Exhibits.

 

Omeath Passenger Ferry

 A brand new state of the art vessel operates seasonally in the months of June-August, between Warrenpoint, Co Down and Omeath, Co Louth. 

Take the Castle Cruise (60 minute cruise) or try out the Medieval Cruise (90 minute cruise).  Kids' fishing trips are also available to book (mornings only).  Daily sailings operate from 10am - 6pm every 30 minutes.  Vessel can transport bicycles.

Cheeky Monkeys, Newry 

  Hang around in Cheeky Monkeys, an Indoor Adventure Playground complete with indoor Swan Pool for Children under 12.  Or why not try the new 10 Lane 'Glow in the Dark' Bridge Bowl bowling alley.  An excellent venue for kids days out.  Jungle Cafe onsite.

Castle Ward & 

Lose yourself in the beauty of Castle Ward, set in an 820 acre walled demesne with sunken gardens & paths through woodlands.  This fascinating house features both Gothic and Classical styles of architecture, internally and externally.  Get the children to dress up and play with period toys in the Victorian Past Times centre.  Or take part in Outdoor Pursuits with Clearsky Adventure Centre whether it is Mountain Biking, Canoe Trails or Rock Climbing.

East Coast Adventure, Warrenpoint  

 Join East Coast Adventure each Sunday afternoon from 2pm to 6pm in the months of June, July and August at 'Warrenpoint Baths'.  East Coast Adventure will open its doors to families wishing to take part in any of the water sports they have on offer, which include Kayaking, Canoeing, Pier Jumping, Banana Boating, Jet Ski Rides, Beach Games & Raft Building.

While they always encourage parents to take part in the activities you can also choose to stay on the side and take pictures or even leave your kids in their capable hands and enjoy some time to yourself.

 Aquarium, Strangford   

 Have a Splash at Exploris Aquarium, Strangford.  Interact with many different marine species and learn about the coastline of the Island.  The Seal Sanctuary gives visitors the opportunity to see the process of rehabilitation of rescued seal pups from their arrival through to full health, when they are re-introduced to  the wild. 

Grangecam Open Farm 

 Grangecam Open Farm offers guided tours where you can touch and cuddle all of the tame animals, complete with 2 duck ponds where you can feed the ducks.  Animal collections are both traditional farm animals and exotic zoo animals such as: Possums, Prairie Dogs, Chinchillas, Armadillos, Lizards, Marmoset Monkeys & Chipmunks.

Farm is open during term time Friday, Saturday and Sunday: 10.30am - 6 pm.  School holidays: Open 7 days a week 10.30am - 6pm.  Children under 3 entry is free.  Discounts available for guests staying in the Hotel.

Fun House

 Visit South Down's leading Play & Party Venue.  It has been voted 1 of Northern Ireland's 'Top 10' Tourist Attractions.  Complete with 2 Excellent Play Frames for 0-12 year olds & Laser Quest.

 Wear yourself out at Kilbroney Park, overlooking Carlingford Lough.  Set in the 4,000 acre Kilbroney Forest, the park is complete with Tennis Courts, Children's Playground, Playing Fields, an Aboretum, Barbeque and Picnic areas or just take a walk around the many trails in the Forest.
